Each of us lives in a larger context: family, work, friends.
Orchid Tree Yoga does as well. To that end it is requisite for each of us to bring greater awareness,
kindness, compassion and generosity to our larger world.
The impact of a single gesture
cannot be underestimated.
Orchid Tree Yoga has joined in partnership with two organizations that have deep, positive local and global impact.
The RED Bookshelftheredbookshelf.org
"At The RED Bookshelf, we accept donations of gently used children’s books. We clean and repair each book, in order to provide free books for families and children to choose and keep. We currently supply books on seven bright red bookshelves in the City of Albany. With your help in the coming years, we will give books to all 125,000 children in the Capital District of New York. We will accomplish this through the power of community and volunteer efforts to prepare and distribute books."
Come see our new space at 200 Green Street, in the Steamboat Square Homes, Albany, New York
In the future, we now have a calendar on our website where you can find dates with open book reconditioning times. As the weeks progress, more will be added!

Eyes Wide Openeyeswideopenneny.org
……Our Vision…is to raise awareness of human trafficking throughout the general public, and to establish safe havens of healing and hope for women who have been trafficked through partnership and collaboration with existing organizations.
Our Motivation…
Our eyes were opened
We want to open others’ eyes through awareness
We want to open the victims’ eyes about their own exploitation
We want to cultivate partnerships with businesses and other community organizations
We want traffickers to know that our eyes are wide open and we are taking action
Please explore, support and donate to these organizations. You can.....sign up for volunteer opportunities, attend donation classes at the studio.
